iPhone 13 price to be almost same as iPhone 12

According to research firm TrendForce Market, the iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12s) is priced the same as the iPhone 12 series. By 2021, the new iPhone will account for about 39% of Apple’s total annual production. The iPhone 13 series will have the same storage capacity as the iPhone 12 models, and the iPhone 13 Pro models of this series are expected to be equipped with LiDAR sensors.

TrendForce stated in a press release that by 2021, total iPhone production will increase by 12.3% annually to 223 million units. The increase in COVID19 vaccine supply and the relaxation of restrictions in the United States and Europe are considered to be one of the main reasons for the surge. iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12s) is expected to account for about 39% of total production, which indicates that Apple can produce more than 86 million iPhone 13 this year.

The main functions of the iPhone 13 series. The new model is considered to be a “continuation of the iPhone 12 series” with the introduction of a “specific update”.According to the market research company, these updates include the A15 processor based on TSMC’s 5nm+ process technology, the reduced notch due to the smaller sensor body, and the 120 Hz refresh rate of the two Pro models in the series.

It is said that the 13 series has a sensor displacement stabilization function, which is an improvement of optical image stabilization (OIS). TrendForce also mentioned that only Pro models in this series are equipped with LiDAR sensors. This is in contradiction with some recent reports that apply to all types of LiDAR sensors. In addition, the iPhone 13 Pro model should be equipped with a six-part lens and an ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus support.

However, the iPhone 13 series should increase the share of 5G models in total iPhone production from 39% in 2020 to 75% in 2021. Apple entered the 5G world with the iPhone 12, which was launched last year and supports 5G.
